“We’re going to win this! I am extremely optimistic.” –Al Gore
Nobel Laureate and former United States Vice President Al Gore recently gave a TED talk in which he shares his optimism about humanity’s ability to stop climate change.
Gore begins by laying out the case that the nightmare of climate change is a reality. Gore is clear, compelling and engaging, sharing video clips, infographics and wry honesty, as he explains how climate change is affecting the Earth and it’s inhabitants.
But Gore doesn’t stop there: he goes on to highlight solutions that are making a huge difference in the effort to stop climate change, including solar energy. Gore champions the ability of individuals and groups to take action to reduce their global footprint.
“We have everything we need. Some still doubt that we have the will to act. But I say, the will to act is itself a renewable resource!”
