Recently we visited a new customer in Albion, who is the proud owner of this gound-mounted, grid-tied solar energy system. The sytem is tucked in to the sunny, open garden space, near the center of the property.
We were pleased to hear that, after this system was installed, the owner saw his $750 a month PGE bill virtually disappear immediately.
To some, $750 a month may sound like a big electricity bill, but this solar energy system powers three residences, including two rentals, plus a work space. The whole property is powered by this one solar array. This is yet another good example of how solar energy systems can be adapted to meet the needs of individual home and business owners.
Seed #2: If there are multiple residences on one property, especially if there is a shared electrical bill, consider the electrical needs of your whole property. Instead of paying PG&E, tenants or co-owners could be helping to pay off a solar energy system to power the property well in to the future.
