In our February E-News we alerted you to an upcoming PG&E rate change that could impact solar customers. Recently, PG&E bowed to pressure by solar advocates and agreed to extend this rate change deadline to May 2, 2016.
If you are an on-grid solar customer on Pacfic Gas & Electric’s (PG&E) E7 or E8 Rate you MUST make a change by May 2, 2016 –OR– as a default PG&E will change your rate for you.
We recommend that on-grid solar customers request to be moved to the E6 plan, as long as you can limit your electrical usage between 1-7pm. But if you don’t request E6 by May 2, PG&E will put you on to a different, less beneficial, rate. This applies regardless of whether you have a smart meter.
