California’s Governor Brown started his historic fourth term with an impassioned speech arguing that California must show leadership in the urgent fight against climate change.
Governor Brown called specifically for three goals for California to reach by 2030. First, 50% use of renewable energy, up from 33% which will be reached by 2020. Second: a 50% cut in petroleum usage. Third: a 100% increase in existing building efficiency.
To meet these goals, Governor Brown zeroed in on the importance of encouraging Californians to #GoSolar. Clean, green, and practical (thanks to net metering and new solar technologies), California needs solar. Now, more than ever.
